Safety & navigation

We manage Australia’s distress beacon registration database, navigational aids, and tracking and reporting systems. We have national and international responsibilities for seafarer welfare and we work closely with communities to deliver health and safety programs. Our search and rescue capabilities respond 24/7 to incidents throughout Australia.
