Overview
If you want to notify AMSA of a change of engine(s) for a domestic commercial vessel listed on a certificate of survey or class C restricted operations approval, please complete the Notification of change of engine form (AMSA1847).
Please note that the Miscellaneous form (AMSA 758) was previously used to notify us of this type of change.
If the change of engine(s) is for a domestic commercial vessel listed on a non-survey vessel approval (including ‘existing vessels that were not required to have a certificate of survey on 30 June 2013), please submit an Application to vary a vessel certificate or approval (AMSA566).
If the change of engine(s) invalidates the certificate or approval, a new certificate of survey, class C restricted operations, or non-survey vessel application will be required, and the vessel may be required to meet additional standards and/or undergo surveys
