We offer nationally recognised units of competency in marine pollution response and incident management.

Overview

Australian Maritime Safety Authority RTO is an enterprise registered training organisation. It is accredited by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) to deliver nationally recognised units of competency and skills.  

Training is delivered under the National Plan and intergovernmental arrangements. It's available to our employees and marine pollution responders through their respective state or territory coordinator.  

Upon successful completion of accredited courses, learners are issued with a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment within 30 calendar days.

Our mission is to support our broader organisational vision of ‘safe and clean seas, saving lives’. 

To support this vision, we aim to deliver high quality training and assessment that:

  • meets the needs of the National Plan Training Program
  • is consistent with the Australian Qualifications Framework 
  • complies with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015.

Pre-existing skills and knowledge

We offer both recognition of prior learning and credit transfer for units that form our current training program.

Online learning centre

Some courses we offer have an online component that is delivered through our online learning centre.

Learners can access the online learning centre from a computer, as well as most tablets and mobile devices.  

We are working towards offering some fully online courses that can be completed at a learner's own pace.
