The Port State Control (PSC) Report for the 2017 calendar year is now available.

The report outlines ship inspections and detentions by type, location, and flag State. It provides a 10-year summary of inspection, detentions and deficiency rate and a summary of shipping industry activity for 2017.
PSC inspection results for 2017 indicate a fall in the detention rate. The decrease in the detention rate and low number of deficiencies per inspection emphasises the benefit in maintaining a consistent, firm, but fair, PSC inspection regime
