Exemption 22 exempts a person from the requirement to hold a certificate of competency that would be required for a bareboat operation, including:
It does not exempt an operator from any other aspects of the National Law, including minimum crewing requirements, as outlined in Marine Order 504.
You will need to operate in areas approved by your local state or territory marine safety agency.
To be eligible for Exemption 22, you must hold a Coxswain Grade 1 NC certificate of competency.
